Salisylsyre
Salisylsyre brukes ofte til å behandle uren hud og urenheter. Salisylsyre fører til lett avskalling av det øvre hudlaget, reduserer forekomst av hudormer og åpner tilstoppede porer. Salisylsyre er spesielt effektivt mot uren hud da oppløsningen trenger ned i talgkjertlene. Dette bidrar til å redusere overflødig talg. Salisylsyre har også gunstig effekt mot solskadet hud, akne og kviser.
